Who else is excited for thing change in weather?! Fall is in the air… and I’m going to try my best to share some Summer sessions and get caught up in the next few weeks.
Here are some favorites from a Spring/Summer session earlier in the year in Centreville Virginia.
I have been patiently waiting for the weather to warm up and get back outdoors for family sessions! I really really miss it... If you follow me on Instagram You are probably sick of seeing pictures of my kids ;-) I promise to share more client work on there as soon as the weather gods allow it (which I'm hoping is this weekend since I have 3 sessions scheduled)
But in the meantime... I figured now is a good time to share those awesome Fall Family Mini Session that I never got around to blogging.

Can't believe its already October! I had hoped to get caught up on my blog posts last month. While its not absolutely to keep a blog up to date, I find that those looking to book me get a better sense of what a typical session might look like rather than simply a couple favorites. It is also nice to have more recent work on the website so here is an attempt to get some what caught up today.

Here are a few of my absolute favorite images from a recent session. It was really hard narrowing these down as almost every image from their gallery was adorable.
Birthdays a great time of year to capture your little one. Its a special milestone and a fun way to capture how your kids change each year. I had such a fun time capturing this family and it doesn't hurt they all looked so amazing for their session.
Another blog post for today! This little baby boy did so well for his session and I love the colors used for his session. Here are a few of my favorites including some really heart melting family shots.

As a Disney fan myself, I loved incorporating the hand made button art this little doll's aunt made for her nursery.

Determined to share some images from my session on this blog today. I love doing blog posts when time allows as clients can see a variety of images from a session rather that just a favorite one or two.

Here are a few of my favorites from this family of 4's newborn session.
I love to share these posts with people that follow my work and prospective clients mainly because they get to see what a typical set of images from any session look like. The galleries and sneak peeks are wonderful but to visually see the variety of images and colors one gets out of a session is definitely helpful.
I love the lifestyle/parent shots from this session... they were so simple yet beautiful... the neutral backdrop makes them and their emotions pop out and your eyes go straight to them.

Its hard not to post EVERY single capture from this session... Baby girl L was so good for her session and in such good caring hands with big sister. Usually the siblings make me work so hard but this little ones big sister was so sweet, gentle and helpful throughout our session.

First Birthdays are such a big milestone and something to capture indeed! I love that this family chose to do a Full Family Session for this little guys birthday.
He wasn't a big fan of his cake but he still gave us a few cute glances :-) My favorite images though are the ones where he is in his Mom & Dad's arms... you can just tell thats his happy place!!
You know whats better than one cake smash session? TWO Cake Smashes :-)

One of the best parts about being a family photographer is watching families grow and little babies become full on toddlers. It's the most amazing thing to me. I had the pleasure of capturing one such family a few weekends ago. I had done big sisters newborn session a few years ago and now baby sister. Both these girls were so good to me for the session.
